Ascendant Reads is a reader-built catalog for finding LitRPG and progression fantasy by the details that shape the reading experience.
A star rating rarely tells me whether a book has visible stats, a patient cultivation climb, a non-human lead, or a finished series. I wanted one place where readers could search those details, understand why a recommendation fits, and keep their reading organized.
The catalog is designed for everyday use: find a book, check its progression profile, save it to a shelf, compare it with another series, or build a list worth sharing.
Titles, authors, series order, status, editions, and cover sources are checked against author, publisher, retailer, or original-serial pages. Unconfirmed fields are marked unverified.
Editorial notes explain pace, tone, mechanics, and reader fit. Recommendation scores compare catalog signals. They are not community ratings.
Ratings, reviews, shelves, lists, and tier lists come from signed-in readers. Reviews are moderated and each account can leave one review per book.
